Staff Development Experience
I have particular experience and interest in issues of teaching, learning and
assessment and accreditation, supervising research students and career development
for early career researchers, resource based learning and curriculum development.
Key responsibilities have included :-
• supervising Route 2, experienced Lecturers at The University of Leeds
• Programme designer and Director, University of Nottingham PGCHE.
• designing, facilitating and evaluating teaching sessions
• tailoring staff development for individual Schools and Departments
• successful tendering for national consultancies e.g.Career review for
the MRC
• involvement in HEFCE project, e.g. Resource based learning, Graham Gibbs,
• presenting at conferences (11) and publishing articles and reviews (27)
• mentoring for the SEDA Fellowship in the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong
• consultancy at more than fifty universities and colleges
